Col. John Reese

Col John Reese was the Grandfather of Isaac Trumbo. Col John Reese was the first settler of Nevada. Col John Reese was one of the first merchants in Utah. Col John Reese was the uncle of James Madison Monroe, murdered by Howard Egan in 1851. James was the tutor for Joseph Smiths children and a confidant of the Emma Smith family. Col John Reese was an explorer and developed trails from Utah to both Northern and Southern California.
